Allen-Bradbury Construction L.L.C.

Over 15 years of construction diversity
A Native American owned business

Our mission

Allen-Bradbury Construction, LLC, founded in 1997, was established to provide clients a contractor who puts honesty and accountability to the forefront of their plan. The company goal is to provide owners with quality projects they can be proud of. We focus on "customer service" and "attention to detail" in all projects we undertake.

History

In January 1997, Al Engberg, President of Allen Capital Investments, decided to use his experience and resources to form a construction company called Allen-Bradbury Construction, L.L.C (ABC). The purpose of this venture was to control the costs and quality of every project undertaken. The company’s goal was, and still is, to provide clients with a wide range of experience in construction, “start to finish”, with the personal attention they deserve. ABC believes that honesty and accountability are traits all contractors should live by.

During its first few years in business ABC has successfully completed several commercial building projects and tenant improvements (Reference past projects attachment). During this time ABC expanded to provide owners, architects and developers a wide range of construction management services including construction management and consulting services. In May of 2001, ABC was certified by the U.S. Small Business Administration as a small disadvantage business. Since certification as an 8(a) contractor, ABC has grown by adding McChord Air Force Base, the General Services Administration, the U.S. Navy, the Federal Aviation Administration and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to their list of governmental clients. In the last three years the company has concentrated its marketing efforts to governmental agencies and tribally owned commercial construction projects. ABC has completed work for four different tribes in the State of Washington. ABC has experienced steady growth by specializing in federal government and Native American projects.

ABC was chosen as the Native American Company of the Year in 2004 by the National Center for American Indian Economic Development and was awarded the GSA (General Services Administration) “External Partner of the Year” in 2006. ABC is proud of their accomplishments in outreaching to other minority and women owned businesses. Over 40 percent of the available subcontracting dollars for the McChord Air Freight Terminal and the Puyallup Tribe of Indians – Kwawachee Center Remodel projects were given to minority or women owned business. ABC recently constructed the Puyallup Tribal Administrative Offices and the Squaxin Island Tribal Counseling and Cultural Center. It is the goal of ABC to continue to provide opportunities to small disadvantaged companies.
